A job board for Mashgichim, run by the Kosher Institute of America.

KIA Jobs connects kosher establishments with the trained supervisors they depend on. Restaurants, caterers, food manufacturers, camps, hotels, institutions and kashrus agencies post their openings here for free, and Mashgichim across the United States find them in one place.

The board is operated by the Kosher Institute of America, which writes the courses, sets the exams and keeps the record of who has been trained, and builds the software many kashrus agencies run on. We built KIA Jobs because the old board had gone quiet and the community needed a modern one: fast on a phone, honest about pay, and easy for a busy employer to use.

The Institute is a training centre, not a certifying body. It does not certify establishments and it does not approve Mashgichim — those decisions belong to the agencies — and a listing appearing here is not an endorsement of the employer by KIA.

What makes it different

  • Every listing states the pay. A range or a single figure, per hour, day, event, week or year. “Competitive” is not accepted.
  • Free to post. Listings run for 30 days and can be renewed. The only paid option is a “Featured” highlight, explained on the pricing page.
  • Apply in three clicks. Confirm your email with a six-digit code — there is no password to invent and no profile to fill in — and your name, phone and email reach the employer within a minute.
  • Moderated by people who know kashrus. Listings go live immediately and are reviewed after the fact. Anyone can report a listing; reported and suspicious listings come down until a person at the Institute looks.
  • Respects Shabbos and Yom Tov. Automated email is held from candle-lighting until after havdalah, based on where you are.

Verified employers

A “KIA Verified” mark means the Institute has confirmed the employer’s identity or has a working relationship with them. Verification is never sold. Employers without the mark are not suspect; most listings come from small businesses that have simply not been verified yet.
